Privacy Policy

This policy describes the limited visitor information handled by Bourne Residents Directory and the choices available to visitors. The service is a private reference to Bourne and Massachusetts records resources. It does not require an account and does not maintain a directory profile about its users.

Information You Submit

A name, phone number, or address entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that supplies the results. Bourne Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you contact us, we receive the information in your message and use it to respond.

Automatic Technical Data

Our host may keep routine logs such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate for operations and page-use patterns. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and, when used, advertising measurement.

How Limited Data Is Used

We use it to operate the service, address technical issues, measure traffic, and improve content. We do not sell visitor lists or create profiles of individual visitors.

External Resources

Links may lead to Bourne, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, library, archive, or outside search resources. The privacy terms of the destination service control information you provide there. That includes sponsored search results supplied by another company.

Service Providers and Disclosure

Hosting and support providers process server logs for site operations. Analytics and advertising providers may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires disclosure.

Data Safeguards

The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only as long as the purposes described here require. There are no user accounts, passwords, or personal profiles maintained by this service.

Visitors Under 18

This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has sent information so it can be removed.

Your Privacy Choices

Visitors may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information that this service keeps. No enacted Massachusetts comprehensive privacy statute with a universal people-search deletion right was located in the research. Because our own data is limited, a request normally involves the contact mailbox and server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Government records are outside our control: address a request to the relevant custodian under the Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c.66 §10, its exemptions in G.L. c.4 §7, cl.26, and 950 CMR 32 where applicable. Eligible Massachusetts Address Confidentiality Program participants have protections under M.G.L. c.9A and 950 CMR 130.

Policy Changes

Changes to this policy will appear here. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
